IT Network Security Officer

About the role

The IT Network Security Officer will safeguard the organization’s network infrastructure, supporting cybersecurity and business continuity goals. You will implement and monitor security controls, respond to incidents, and ensure the availability of critical network services.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, administer and monitor network security controls in line with ISO 27001.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, NAC, wireless security, DNS, DHCP and remote‑access solutions.
• Maintain secure network segmentation, access controls, routing policies and traffic filtering.
• Monitor and respond to network security incidents, conduct investigations and coordinate remediation.
• Provide continuous network visibility through log management, SIEM integration and security monitoring.
• Perform security reviews, configuration audits, firewall rule assessments and vulnerability remediation.
• Support secure connectivity for third parties, cloud environments, disaster‑recovery infrastructure and remote sites.
• Assess security impact of network changes and document all security configurations and incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Network Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network administration and security operations.
• Proven experience with firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs, wireless networks and secure connectivity.
