IT Network Security Officer

About the role

The IT Network Security Officer will safeguard the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and maintaining business continuity. This role combines hands‑on network administration with proactive security monitoring and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, administer and monitor network security controls in line with ISO 27001 standards.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, wireless security, DNS, DHCP and remote‑access solutions.
• Maintain secure network segmentation, access controls, routing policies and traffic filtering.
• Monitor network security events, investigate incidents and coordinate remediation with IT teams.
• Provide continuous network visibility through log management, SIEM integration and security monitoring.
• Conduct security reviews, configuration audits, firewall rule assessments and vulnerability remediation.
• Support secure connectivity for third‑party partners, cloud environments, disaster‑recovery sites and remote users.
• Assess security impact of network changes and participate in change‑management processes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, incident records and audit evidence.
• Collaborate with IT Governance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network administration and network security operations.
• Strong background with firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs, wireless networks and secure connectivity.
