IT Technical Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated IT Technical Support Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The role involves providing second‑level support, maintaining hardware and software assets, and ensuring reliable IT services for end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair PC hardware, printers, and other peripherals.
• Deploy networking equipment such as cabling, switches, access points, and network printers.
• Install, troubleshoot, and support collaboration tools including Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, WinZip/WinRAR, and McAfee Virus Scan.
• Provide 2nd‑layer advanced troubleshooting and resolve incidents using the IT ServiceDesk application.
• Follow IT ServiceDesk procedures to meet SLA targets and perform preventive maintenance.
• Execute hardware and software upgrades, monitor system performance, and report reliability issues.
• Participate in project tasks and offer occasional after‑hours or weekend support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT technical support.
• Hardware certification (A+ or equivalent) – preferred.
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) – preferred.
• Cisco Inter‑Connecting Network Devices (ICND) certification – preferred.

Required skills

• PC hardware and printer installation/troubleshooting.
• Network cabling, switches, access points, and network printer setup.
• Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Adobe Reader, WinZip/WinRAR, McAfee Virus Scan.
• IT ServiceDesk ticketing system.
• LAN/WLAN troubleshooting.
