Junior Planner – Hospitality Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking a talented Junior Planner to support planning and scheduling for hospitality projects such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, or mixed‑use developments. The role involves assisting with project schedules, monitoring progress, collecting site updates, preparing reports, and coordinating with design, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and updating detailed project schedules using planning software.
• Collect daily and weekly progress information from site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor actual progress against the approved schedule and identify delays or risks.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and schedule analysis.
• Coordinate with construction, design, procurement, commercial, and project management teams to track design deliverables, material approvals, and construction milestones.
• Support delay analysis, recovery plans, and the preparation of look‑ahead schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in project planning, construction planning, or project controls, preferably on hospitality, commercial, residential or fit‑out projects.
• Willingness to visit and work at the project site and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 or similar planning software.
• Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• BIM and document control systems.
• Construction scheduling, project sequencing, and progress monitoring.
• Schedule analysis and recovery planning.
