Junior Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Junior Procurement Officer to support the sourcing, purchasing and supply‑chain activities of our retail business. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will help ensure that products, supplies and services are procured efficiently, delivered on time and kept at optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Source products, suppliers and services from local and international markets.
• Prepare and process purchase orders while adhering to procurement procedures.
• Obtain quotations, compare pricing and recommend cost‑effective purchasing decisions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders and monitor delivery schedules.
• Track shipments, liaise with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
• Monitor inventory levels and support timely stock replenishment.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and purchasing documentation.
• Collaborate with Retail, Warehouse and Finance teams to meet operational needs.
• Assist in resolving supplier issues, delivery delays and other procurement‑related concerns.
• Support procurement reporting, supplier performance tracking and continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or inventory management.
• Retail procurement experience is preferred; experience with imported products or international suppliers is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication and analytical abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
