Key Account Manager – Oil, Gas & Chemicals

About the role

SGS is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to lead strategic accounts in the Oil, Gas & Chemicals sector. You will act as the primary executive liaison, driving revenue growth while ensuring client satisfaction and long‑term partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sustainable revenue and profitability.
• Serve as trusted advisor to key customers, identifying business challenges and aligning SGS solutions.
• Maintain senior stakeholder relationships and conduct regular business reviews.
• Oversee end‑to‑end contract governance, coordinating with technical, laboratory, logistics and support teams.
• Monitor commercial KPIs, profitability and service delivery, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Identify cross‑selling, upselling and new service opportunities based on market intelligence.
• Anticipate market trends, competitive moves and regulatory changes to protect market share.
• Translate customer feedback into service enhancements and innovative solutions.
• Mitigate commercial and operational risks through contractual compliance and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate commercial records, account plans and performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years of progressive experience managing strategic accounts in Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Energy or Petrochemical sectors.
• Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and managing high‑value client portfolios.
• Deep understanding of the Oil, Gas & Chemicals value chain and market dynamics.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation and executive communication skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in account profitability and contract performance.
• Fluent English.
• Saudi national.
