Key Logistics Manager

About the role

The Key Logistics Manager oversees physical logistics operations, ensures contract compliance with logistics providers, and aligns logistics activities with internal stakeholder requirements while managing risk and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure physical logistics performance and continuous improvement by implementing and controlling KPIs related to performance, cost, quality, and environment, and applying Airbus Logistics solutions, processes, rules, and policies.
• Drive rapid issue resolution through a simple alert/escalation process, propose and lead short‑term, non‑disruptive improvement initiatives, and share best practices across the Logistics Service Managers network.
• Contribute to end‑to‑end logistics solution optimization and surface optimization, secure appropriate quality and quantity of standard distribution means, and support infrastructure evolution and surface management.
• Manage Logistics Provider contract compliance and subcontractor activities, ensuring correct contract application, budget adherence, and savings, while handling scope change requests, work specifications, ad‑hoc service requests, and claims.
• Perform technical negotiations on unit prices, volumes, and forecasts, and ensure harmonized, agile contract governance to deliver services on time, with quality and cost targets.
• Develop and deploy ways of working and training for contract management, calculate and monitor the logistics budget in coordination with Finance, and support procurement and operations on contract mechanisms.
• Implement and monitor Service Level Agreements with internal stakeholders, anticipate and challenge requests, manage risk through root‑cause analysis, and ensure mitigation plans are executed.
• Maintain compliance with airworthiness authorities, quality, environment, health & safety, and dangerous goods regulations, plan and conduct audits with quality teams, and drive corrective actions to close findings.
