Lab Technician

About the role

Ornua is seeking a Lab Technician to support its food quality and safety operations in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for testing raw materials, in‑process samples, finished products and environmental specimens to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, label and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
• Perform routine physical, chemical and microbiological tests following approved SOPs.
• Operate, clean, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments such as pH meters, moisture analyzers, incubators and microscopes.
• Record test results accurately, maintain documentation and generate reports.
• Support quality control by monitoring product specifications and reporting out‑of‑specification results.
• Follow GMP, GLP, HACCP and food safety regulations in all laboratory activities.
• Assist in investigations of OOS results and contribute to internal audits and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field.
• Knowledge of sample collection, preparation and routine chemical/microbiological testing.
• Understanding of GMP, GLP, HACCP and food hygiene practices.
• Ability to work accurately, follow SOPs and maintain laboratory records.
