Landscape Maintenance Estimator

About the role

The Landscape Maintenance Estimator will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and technical/commercial proposals for landscape maintenance projects. The role involves site surveys, assessing manpower, tools, equipment, materials and operational requirements, and developing detailed cost estimates using Microsoft Excel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess landscape maintenance requirements and project conditions.
• Review tender documents, scopes of work, BOQs, drawings and client requirements.
• Calculate and estimate required manpower, including gardeners, irrigation technicians, supervisors, operators and management staff.
• Assess and estimate tools, machinery, vehicles and equipment needed for each project.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering manpower, accommodation, transportation, equipment, materials, consumables and subcontractor costs.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals for landscape maintenance contracts and tenders.
• Create manpower deployment plans and resource schedules based on project scope.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement and suppliers to obtain accurate quotations and market rates.
• Prepare pricing sheets, cost breakdowns and financial summaries.
• Maintain and update estimating databases, rate libraries and proposal templates.
• Support management during tender clarifications, client meetings and proposal negotiations.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend efficient resource utilization.
