Lead Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Accountant to manage and improve our accounts payable, payroll, and banking processes. The role involves accurate transaction recording, timely reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies to support smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting transactions and journal entries for accounts payable and payroll in line with accounting standards.
• Review invoices and payment requests, match them with approved purchase orders, investigate inconsistencies and escalate issues.
• Monitor vendor accounts, ensure payments follow predefined SLAs and schedules.
• Reconcile ZATCA payroll data, identify deviations and work with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process bank transfer requests and other payment documents.
• Handle daily bank transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers) and perform daily reconciliations.
• Process payments for invoices, payroll, benefits, pensions and staff rewards on schedule.
• Reconcile and replenish petty cash according to approved budgets.
• Follow policies, SOPs and support junior team members in solving escalated problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in financial planning, analysis, reporting and control.
• Strong collaboration, communication and results‑oriented mindset.
• Understanding of risk assessment, asset management and change enablement.
