Lead Civil Engineer

About the role

The Lead Civil Engineer will head the design and execution of substation projects up to 380kV, ensuring compliance with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards and international codes. This senior position provides technical direction, mentors junior engineers, and drives project delivery within schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review substation building and outdoor structures, adhering to SEC and international standards.
• Prepare technical submittals, vendor documents, and respond to client comments.
• Generate BOMs, reports, and ensure project documentation is complete.
• Lead a team of engineers, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with other departments.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure quality standards are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil and structural design of substations in KSA.
• Local transferability preferred.

Required skills

• Design of substation projects up to 380kV.
• Proficiency with STAAD FOUNDATION, STAAD PRO, and RAM CONNECTION.
• Familiarity with SEC standards and relevant international design codes.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Experience in substation building and outdoor design.
