Lead Civil Site Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Gevernova is hiring a Lead Civil Site Engineer on a remote basis. The engineer manages civil construction, installation and coordination of buildings, equipment foundations, utilities, permits and other civil works at company projects such as substations, HVDC, SVC and STATCOM during the OTR phase, and takes part in the ITO phase as assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Manage civil works construction, installation, inspection and testing, including control of subcontractor progress and planning of site resources
• Liaise with clients, site consultants, project management, MEP works, engineering, EHS and quality teams
• Supervise and inspect civil works while maintaining QA/QC and EHS requirements, including QS/take-off and invoice validation
• Prepare daily, bi-weekly, monthly and three-week-ahead reports, incident reports, PTW and QA/QC documentation
• Meet contractual terms and conditions, attend technical and progress meetings internally and with customers, and ensure safe, compliant on-site activities
• Provide expert consultation on complex projects, support business growth initiatives and drive customer satisfaction through quality

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing site civil works at 380kV substations and other power projects
• Valid driver's licence and passport, fluent English, and legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime, to travel, relocate within the country and worldwide, and to work under pressure
• Fluency in Arabic is a plus

• Civil works codes, standards, QS/take-off, resource planning and estimation
• AutoCAD and MS Office
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings and general arrangements
