Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to supervise and coordinate E&I construction, installation, testing, pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities on a major EPC project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all electrical and instrumentation site activities.
• Manage installation of electrical equipment, cable trays, conduits, power/control cables and grounding systems.
• Supervise cable laying, glanding, termination, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate instrumentation, DCS, control panels, junction boxes, fiber‑optic, telecom and public address system installation.
• Supervise heat tracing and cathodic protection works.
• Allocate manpower, materials, tools and equipment to meet project targets.
• Monitor daily progress, productivity, subcontractor performance and work‑front availability.
• Review drawings, cable schedules, technical submittals, method statements and inspection documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, QA/QC, HSE and commissioning teams.
• Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, loop checks, punch‑list clearance, pre‑commissioning and handover documentation.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate project records.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation construction, installation, testing, pre‑commissioning or commissioning.
• Strong experience in lead or supervisory roles on large‑scale EPC and industrial projects.
• Ability to independently manage site activities, lead construction teams, coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver works safely and on schedule.
