Lead Engineer – Fleet Management

About the role

The Lead Engineer – Fleet Management will provide technical solutions for heavy‑duty, aero‑derivative and compressor control systems, as well as motor issues on EMCC‑driven trains. The role supports global customers, drives root‑cause investigations and ensures product integrity across the fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external technical requests, troubleshoot control system anomalies and coordinate with design engineering for corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause analysis investigations, prepare technical presentations and communicate solutions to customers and senior leadership.
• Travel to customer sites to support unplanned outages, technical review meetings and oversee planned outage activities.
• Partner with design engineering and suppliers to implement fleet‑program technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Control & Instrumentation, Electrical or related field (or equivalent).
• 5–10 years of experience in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy‑duty, aero‑derivative and compressor control systems, including motor issues on EMCC‑driven trains.
• Willingness to travel 20–25% of the time and provide weekend emergency support.

• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor protection.
• Heavy‑duty turbine and aero‑derivative turbine control systems.
• EMCC‑driven train motor troubleshooting.
