Legal Researcher (Customs Law)

About the role

The Legal Researcher will support the customs compliance team by conducting thorough legal research, preparing case files, and delivering accurate legal analyses. Working under close supervision, the role focuses on customs laws, regulations, and related fines imposed by ZATCA.

Key responsibilities

• Stay up‑to‑date with all customs laws and regulations through continuous research.
• Request and gather required documents and data from stakeholders to prepare case files.
• Prepare and verify case files, ensuring data completeness and error‑free entries.
• Analyze case files related to ZATCA fines and customs assessments, highlighting legal reasons and providing timely studies to committees.
• Develop accurate legal opinions and customized reports for internal consultation requests.
• Document and periodically update section information in the relevant database.
• Report issues to management, propose action plans, and support junior team members.
• Escalate complex problems to appropriate personnel for resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal research or advisory experience.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Demonstrated professionalism, results orientation, and research & analysis competence.
