Lifeguard

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures the safety of guests using the hotel pool by monitoring swimmers, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. This full‑time position is based at the St. Regis Riyadh resort.

Key responsibilities

• Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unsafe activities, or guests in distress and intervene using appropriate rescue techniques.
• Promote pool rules and regulations, and inform supervisors of any guests unable to safely participate.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Maintain pool deck cleanliness by washing, mopping, folding and stacking towels according to company procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training.
• Deliver courteous guest service, ensuring uniform appearance, welcoming guests, and assisting individuals with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb unassisted, moving on slippery surfaces, and standing for extended periods.

Required skills

• Current CPR Certification.
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Knowledge of fitness equipment operation and safety.
