Logistics Manager – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role
A leading international automotive manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead end‑to‑end plant logistics operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role oversees the complete flow of materials from supplier receipt through production to customer delivery, ensuring efficiency, safety and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all plant logistics functions including inbound, outbound, warehousing, line supply, work‑in‑process (WIP) and customs activities.
- Ensure uninterrupted material flow to support production schedules and on‑time customer deliveries.
- Manage warehouse operations, maintain inventory accuracy, enforce FIFO, and oversee storage strategies and traceability.
- Monitor logistics KPIs such as OTIF, inventory accuracy, productivity, freight costs and overall efficiency.
- Coordinate with production, planning, purchasing, suppliers, customs and transport providers to resolve issues.
- Develop and lead logistics supervisors, warehouse staff and multi‑shift teams through training, coaching and performance management.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, process optimisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, inventory control procedures and customs regulations.
- Oversee ERP/WMS transactions, reporting, logistics documentation and performance dashboards.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in automotive logistics and supply‑chain operations.
- Proven leadership experience managing logistics teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, material flow, customs processes and production logistics.
- Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience in high‑volume automotive manufacturing; exposure to greenfield projects or plant launches is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate permanently to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
