Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will oversee all logistics activities for SKM Air Conditioning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring smooth import shipments, transport nominations, and delivery control. The role requires close coordination with freight forwarders, internal teams, and clearing agents to maintain efficient supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and negotiate pricing of approved freight forwarders.
• Nominate forwarders, update purchase‑order owners within two working days, and monitor shipment status.
• Resolve incoming and outgoing logistics issues to avoid clearance delays.
• Utilize company trucks, minimize outsourcing and demurrage costs.
• Submit freight invoices within seven working days and settle disputes within ten days.
• Control transporter placement, rates, and ensure truck availability.
• Manage proof‑of‑delivery documentation and provide weekly delivery forecasts to the supply‑chain team.
• Coordinate with clearing agents, resolve customs issues promptly, and conduct logistics training for staff.
• Follow up on pending banking documents and perform other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar logistics role.
• Strong documentation and control skills with a focus on shipment issue resolution.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, act with urgency, and work independently.
• Valid KSA driving license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
