Logistics Officer

About the role

Organize and manage transportation, warehousing and supply chain operations to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of goods and materials from origin to final destination at the lowest possible cost and highest efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee shipping, receiving and storage activities across all facilities.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation by land, sea and air with carriers and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and guarantee timely availability of required materials.
• Prepare and maintain shipping records, invoices, bills of lading and customs paperwork.
• Liaise with customs authorities and handle clearance procedures when required.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and freight companies, negotiating rates and contracts.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities to reduce them without compromising quality.
• Prepare periodic reports on logistics performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Resolve issues related to delays or disruptions in the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with local and international transportation and shipping regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management.
