Logistics & Supply Chain Engineer – Rail Infrastructure

About the role

Alstom is seeking a Logistics & Supply Chain Engineer to join its rail infrastructure project team in Riyadh. The role will design warehouse layouts, define material flows and optimise supply‑chain processes for large‑scale rail construction, ensuring seamless delivery from project start to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Design project warehouses and establish material and information flow concepts at the outset of the project.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise supply‑chain and planning activities, applying international and local material‑flow best practices.
• Support continuous improvement of logistics processes to meet project and business objectives.
• Develop and deliver training for logistics team members, fostering resilience and continuous learning.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies across all logistics operations.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Understanding of logistics specifications and supply‑chain processes, with knowledge of international and local material‑flow optimisation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Adaptability and resilience in dynamic project environments.
• Passion and right attitude valued over strict technical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Familiarity with logistics planning tools.
