Lower Elementary School Homeroom Teacher

About the role

The American International School in Riyadh is seeking a licensed, full‑time Lower Elementary Homeroom Teacher for the 2027‑2028 academic year. The role focuses on fostering inquisitive, independent, and resilient learners through engaging, standards‑based instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons using a variety of instructional media.
• Maintain effective classroom management, behavior records, and a student‑centered learning environment.
• Implement student safeguarding practices, including mandatory reporting and participation in inquiries.
• Assess student progress, analyze data, and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with divisional principals and adhere to school policies, code of conduct, and professional standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and a valid North American (or equivalent) teaching certificate.
• Certification in the relevant subject area and/or grade level.
• Minimum two years of full‑time K‑12 teaching experience.
• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Fluency in English and strong written and verbal communication skills.
