Maintenance & Engineering Technician

About the role

PepsiCo is seeking a Maintenance & Engineering Technician to execute mechanical maintenance tasks, corrective and preventive actions, and engineering‑related work across its production facilities. The role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and optimal line availability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned work orders for mechanical corrective, preventive, and engineering maintenance.
• Identify root causes of recurring equipment problems and implement corrective actions.
• Respond promptly to technical issues, determine required parts, and manage spare‑part inventory.
• Coordinate daily with managers, peers, and supervisors to align maintenance activities.
• Make decisions on spare‑part utilization and corrective/preventive actions for breakdowns.
• Follow maintenance schedules and engineering standards to keep plant equipment operational.
• Achieve target line availability and equipment readiness.
• Ensure all hazards and risks are controlled and EHS targets are met.
• Operate utility‑section equipment and supervise contracted labour during maintenance.
• Perform daily parameter readings and monitoring as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and engineering tasks within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
• Strong decision‑making skills for spare‑part management and corrective actions.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Capability to supervise external contractors and work collaboratively with internal teams.
