Maintenance & Equipment Engineer (Aviation Experience)

About the role

Egis is looking for an experienced Maintenance & Equipment Engineer to support the PMC team in planning and delivering ORAT (Operational Readiness and Transition) activities for a major aviation project. The role ensures that aviation facilities, equipment, systems, maintenance processes and operational resources are ready for safe and effective operations before handing them over to the operational team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance and equipment readiness activities within the ORAT program
• Develop and maintain readiness plans, equipment schedules and transition requirements
• Review facility and equipment design for operability, maintainability, accessibility, reliability and lifecycle needs
• Track equipment and maintenance readiness through construction, testing, commissioning and handover
• Coordinate with operators on maintenance requirements, procedures, staffing, training, spare parts, tools and consumables
• Maintain asset registers, equipment databases, tagging requirements and maintenance data
• Validate preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, plans and schedules
• Support O&M manuals, procedures, documentation, warranties, spare parts lists and technical handover records
• Take part in testing, commissioning, trials, demonstrations and readiness exercises, including ORAT inspections and assessments
• Identify readiness gaps, risks and constraints and track corrective actions
• Verify critical spares, tools and resources before operations start and support asset acceptance and handover
• Prepare readiness reports, dashboards, risk registers and action trackers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or aviation engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in maintenance, equipment engineering, asset management, operational readiness or airport operations
• Proven aviation/airport project experience, preferably with ORAT or transition programs
• Experience coordinating equipment readiness, testing, commissioning, trials, training and handover
• Knowledge of airport facilities, aviation systems and operational interfaces is highly desirable
