Maintenance Shift Automation Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Shift Automation Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of automation equipment during the assigned shift at our Jeddah plant. The role combines routine preventive maintenance with rapid response to breakdowns, supporting continuous production and minimizing downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all production safety rules and work according to established procedures and standards.
• Receive, sort, and store spare parts, consumables and supplies following SOP and 5S guidelines.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and update maintenance requests in the SAP system.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns on‑site, provide rapid corrective actions, and update the equipment tree in SAP.
• Participate in maintenance improvement teams and contribute to root‑cause analysis and countermeasure development.
• Report all activities in SAP Plant Maintenance module and maintain the spare‑parts store.
• Achieve Time‑Based Maintenance (TBM) compliance targets and uphold 5S standards in all maintenance areas.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in Engineering or Maintenance.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or spare‑parts management.
• Basic knowledge of SAP and familiarity with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) practices.
• Proven ability to perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Good understanding of machine technology and production processes (preferred).
