Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join the maintenance team at Wholly Hearty for Food Products to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment and facility systems. You will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on mechanical and electrical assets in a food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment and production machinery.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to approved plans and procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving faults in motors, drives, gearboxes, and control systems.
• Carry out basic repairs, replacements, and adjustments of components as required.
• Identify and promptly report equipment abnormalities, breakdowns, and potential maintenance needs.
• Ensure all maintenance work follows safety requirements and company procedures.
• Use appropriate tools and testing instruments for fault finding and equipment inspection.
• Complete maintenance checklists, work orders, and records accurately.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization of workshops, tools, and work areas.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• 0–2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting; fresh graduates with relevant training are welcome.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (gearboxes, drives) and electrical control components (VFDs, motor controls, circuit breakers, protection devices, contactors).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Commitment to safe working practices and high attention to detail.
• Good communication, teamwork and the ability to work independently.
• Basic computer skills for completing maintenance records and reports.
