Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all building systems within a healthcare facility. You will perform preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and other infrastructure to support patient care and organizational operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance to guarantee equipment safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve system failures, breakdowns or technical issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and meet regulatory and quality standards for all maintenance activities.
• Support internal and external audit processes by adhering to accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize tools, testing devices and equipment efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with administrative and clinical departments to address service requests and maintenance issues.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or Facility Maintenance, or equivalent qualification.
• Valid certifications related to the trade specialty are preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in healthcare, industrial, commercial or hospitality environments.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and schematics.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance and safety procedures.
• Proficiency with tools, equipment and measuring instruments.
• Computer literacy, preferably with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platforms.
• Fluency in written, read and spoken Arabic and English.
