Manager, Event Application Software (GMS/HDS)

About the role

The Event Application Software Manager will lead the planning, implementation and operation of the Games Management System (GMS) and Help Desk System (HDS) for the upcoming Games. This role ensures the applications meet Organising Committee needs, integrate with all functional areas and comply with OCA guidelines and Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and run GMS modules such as registration, accreditation, arrivals, electronic access control, staff & volunteer management, sport entries, accommodation and uniforms.
• Align GMS delivery with OCA standards and agreed timelines, translating operational requirements into system settings.
• Manage relationships with the GMS vendor and system integrators, handling scope, issue resolution and delivery accountability.
• Deploy and operate the Help Desk System, defining incident categories, severity levels, escalation paths, SLAs and reporting workflows.
• Lead user acceptance testing, homologation, training sessions, manuals and user guides for LOC staff and volunteers.
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi data protection and hosting requirements, coordinating with vendors to secure personal and operational data.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience in event‑related software management.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple functional areas (accreditation, transport, accommodation, volunteers, etc.).
• Experience working with external vendors and system integrators.
• Familiarity with Saudi data protection regulations and hosting standards.
