Mandarin-speaking Waiter/Waitress at Luxury Resort

About the role

We are seeking a Mandarin‑speaking waiter or waitress to join the pre‑opening team at Fairmont The Red Sea, a luxury resort in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering courteous, professional food and beverage service, anticipating guest preferences, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional food and beverage service, presenting menus and explaining dishes and beverages to guests.
• Anticipate guest needs and preferences, handling feedback and reporting concerns to the Manager on Duty.
• Serve and clear tables efficiently, set, clear, and reset according to service standards, and support teammates with food running and station refills.
• Act as liaison between Front of House and Back of House to ensure smooth service flow and follow opening and closing checklists.
• Support daily financial targets, adhere to financial handling procedures, and maintain compliance with LQA, Forbes, and guest satisfaction benchmarks.
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, FIFO, health, safety, and emergency procedures, reporting hazards as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues, attend briefings and training, and uphold grooming and presentation standards.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1–2 years experience in a similar waiter/waitress role, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
