Manual Lathe & Milling Machinist II – Machine Shop

About the role

The Manual Lathe & Milling Machinist II works in a machine‑shop environment supporting Oil & Gas operations. The role involves machining, repairing and refurbishing downhole tools, tubular products and related equipment using manual lathes and milling machines while adhering to API, quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain manual lathe‑milling machines.
• Machine, repair and refurbish downhole tools and tubular components.
• Cut and recut API, premium, tubing and casing threads.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform dimensional inspections with micrometers, verniers and other precision tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting and preventive upkeep of equipment.
• Maintain production, inspection and maintenance records.
• Support 5S, continuous‑improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum High School, ITI or Technical Diploma.
• At least 4 years of manual lathe‑milling experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proven ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills and willingness to work shift schedules and overtime.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
