About the role
The Material Management Specialist works closely with Operations & Maintenance teams to manage the facility’s spare parts inventory and consumables. The role balances plant costs with equipment availability, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient material handling using SAP.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP, including supplier data and storage locations.
- Determine optimal spare‑part levels based on in‑country availability and business needs.
- Provide warehouse support during plant commissioning, outages, and turnarounds, maintaining accurate inventory control.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipment of spares, stock replacement, and emergency transport arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, health, and environmental standards in all warehouse activities.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a technical discipline.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (reading and writing).
- Knowledge of Saudi market vendors and suppliers.
Required skills
- SAP (ERP system)
- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Internet usage for procurement activities
- Forklift operation (driver’s license preferred)
