Materials Buyer – Hotel Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Materials Buyer to join our hotel procurement team. The successful candidate will manage daily purchase requests, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the procurement system daily and complete all administrative procedures for allocated purchase requests.
• Clarify queries related to purchase request data, specifications, quantities, and units.
• Request and negotiate price quotations, secure the best quality and delivery schedule, and forward approvals.
• Manage the daily market list, allocate orders, verify price and availability of new items, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Forward approved purchase orders to vendors promptly and track pending orders through system reports.
• Investigate and resolve price, quantity, or quality discrepancies upon delivery.
• Maintain and update supplier data, quotation validity, and locked price records in the system.

Required profile

• Degree with experience in stores, purchasing, and receiving, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Strong command of English and solid computer literacy.
• Familiarity with hotel property management or point‑of‑sale systems such as Opera, Micros, or FBM is an asset.
