Mechanical Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its AlUla office and support a major construction project. The role involves supervising mechanical works, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and delivering high‑quality installations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor mechanical construction activities across all project phases.
• Review mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, mechanical codes, standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor installations of HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection, and other mechanical services.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, project managers, and stakeholders to achieve successful project execution.
• Monitor and inspect testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, providing technical guidance and resolving site‑related issues.
• Prepare inspection reports, technical documentation, and progress updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and engineering projects.
• Prior experience with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) organizations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection, and mechanical building systems.
• Solid understanding of mechanical codes, standards, quality control, and safety requirements.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
