Mechanical Inspector – Saudi National

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join the Construction Supervision team on a major infrastructure project at King Abdullah Economic City. The role focuses on inspecting mechanical infrastructure installations such as water, firefighting, irrigation, sewerage and stormwater systems to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor mechanical works to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Supervise installation activities for potable water networks, firefighting, irrigation, sewerage and stormwater infrastructure.
• Review and verify material deliveries, shop drawings and submittals against project approvals.
• Witness testing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning and hand‑over activities, and document non‑conformances.
• Maintain detailed inspection records, prepare regular reports and coordinate technical issues with contractors and engineers.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision and inspection of infrastructure projects, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience with water supply, firefighting, irrigation, sewerage and stormwater systems.
• Strong knowledge of international standards, specifications and quality procedures.
