Mechanical Inspector (Saudi National)

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in 100 countries, is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Mechanical Inspector (Saudi National) to join its site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on-site mechanical inspections of equipment, systems and components to ensure quality, safety and compliance with project specifications and standards
• Inspect mechanical installations such as piping, HVAC systems and industrial machinery
• Identify and document defects, non-conformities and potential issues
• Prepare inspection reports and keep accurate records of findings
• Work with project managers, engineers and contractors to resolve mechanical issues and verify that corrective actions are implemented in a timely way
• Take part in project meetings and provide technical expertise when needed
• Ensure safety protocols are followed on site and stay up to date with industry standards and regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven track record in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, gas and fuel system inspections
• Previous experience in engineering consultancies is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively under pressure

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, components and material specifications
• Mechanical inspection techniques, quality control protocols and compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA and local Saudi codes
• Use of inspection, documentation and reporting tools and software
• Understanding of construction sequencing and the project lifecycle
