Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Facility Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to lead the upkeep of building systems within a facility management environment. The role focuses on ensuring reliable operation of HVAC, BMS, and hydraulic equipment while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot building HVAC systems, especially refrigerant packaged units.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in Building Management Systems and control philosophies.
• Oversee hydraulic and pump systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities across all disciplines.
• Manage manpower allocation, training, and performance to build a motivated team.
• Monitor KPI/SLA metrics to keep tasks on schedule and prevent overdue work.
• Provide concise briefings and recommendations without excessive technical jargon.
• Apply HSQE standards daily and promote a strong safety culture.
• Utilize general office software to document work and track progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management or similar operational environments.
• Hands‑on experience in operations and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Health & safety qualification or certification is preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Proficiency with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Understanding of hydraulics and pump technology.
• Health & safety certification (preferred).
