Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Al Babtain Biscuit Factory

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will ensure the reliable operation of production equipment at the Al Babtain biscuit factory. You will work on a full‑time basis, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting new equipment installations.

Key responsibilities

• Run regular preventive checks, lubricate moving parts and replace worn components to avoid machine failure.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions, repair or replace broken parts such as valves, bearings, belts and gears, and re‑assemble equipment.
• Set up new machinery, align and calibrate equipment, and conduct test runs to verify performance.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, to protect personnel and assets.
• Maintain accurate logs of parts used, repairs performed and equipment status updates.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Solid understanding of maintenance procedures, machine and plant maintenance concepts.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
