Mechanical Project Engineer (Intermediate Level)

About the role

We are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the design and coordination of mechanical, public health, and fire life‑safety systems for data centre and mission‑critical projects in Dammam. You will work closely with the technical director, BIM team and estimation groups to deliver compliant, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Fully design mechanical, public health and fire‑life safety systems (CHW, HVAC, fire suppression, drainage, etc.) from concept to detailed design.
• Ensure all drawings and specifications meet KSA/UAE regulations, relevant standards (BS, IEC, NFPA) and client requirements.
• Provide technical input to the BIM team for coordinated drawings and single‑line diagrams.
• Review existing design documents and calculations, raise and follow up RFIs.
• Liaise with the technical director to present designs and coordinate changes arising from site conditions or MEP interfaces.
• Lead coordination of engineering services and deliver value‑engineering solutions.
• Support estimation teams during tender phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects, preferably data centre or mission‑critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (CHW, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revit.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Middle‑East codes and standards is an advantage.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
