Medical Advisor – Pharmaceutical (Riyadh)

About the role

The Medical Advisor will act as the scientific and medical expert for Takeda’s gastro‑enterology portfolio in Saudi Arabia. The role combines scientific leadership, stakeholder engagement and evidence generation to support patient‑focused initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide scientific expertise on disease areas, treatment paradigms and emerging data, and advise internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain compliant relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals and academic institutions, representing Takeda at congresses and advisory boards.
• Gather, analyse and translate medical insights into actionable recommendations for therapeutic‑area priorities and evidence‑generation plans.
• Support investigator‑sponsored studies, real‑world evidence projects and other medical research collaborations, contributing to study design and data interpretation.
• Develop and deliver scientific training for internal teams and act as a medical resource across cross‑functional projects.
• Leverage digital tools and data‑driven approaches to enhance stakeholder engagement and support evidence‑based decision‑making.

Required profile

• University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or related healthcare discipline.
• 3–5 years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in gastroenterology/IBD.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, GCP/GVP requirements and scientific‑exchange principles.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage; willingness to travel as needed.
