Merchandising Team Leader

About the role

The Merchandising Team Leader will supervise and inspire a multicultural team of merchandisers, ensuring that products are displayed according to planograms and FIFO principles. This role bridges marketing, sales, and logistics to drive in‑store execution and promotional activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of merchandisers across multiple depots.
• Ensure on‑shelf FIFO implementation and compliance with planograms.
• Manage merchandising routes, deliveries, and execution planning.
• Support merchandisers in creating creative displays and in‑store activities.
• Conduct on‑job training, monitor payroll and vacation follow‑ups.
• Drive POSM usage, maintain allocated space per contracts, and develop shelf‑share.
• Organise promotional events and festivals in stores.
• Continuously optimise routes while maintaining Perfect Store standards.
• Act as liaison between marketing, sales, and logistics departments.
• Track trade reports and communicate with the sales team.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma.
• Minimum 3 years experience in FMCG merchandising or sales.
• Strong time‑management, organisational, leadership and communication abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
