Microbiologist – Food Quality

About the role

Join MBRF, one of the world’s largest food companies, as a Microbiologist focused on ensuring product safety and quality. You will work in a state‑of‑the‑art laboratory supporting product development, supplier approvals, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and test samples according to approved plans, ISO requirements and regulatory standards.
• Perform microbiological analysis of finished products, raw materials, water, surfaces, air and other relevant samples while maintaining full traceability.
• Review and interpret results, communicate deviations to Quality Assurance and stakeholders, and author laboratory reports.
• Coordinate testing activities, support investigations, and maintain documentation through LIMS, SAP and other quality systems.
• Ensure equipment calibration, manage consumables, and promote a safe, compliant laboratory environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, Veterinary Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in microbiology, laboratory operations or food quality.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 and laboratory quality management systems.
• Business‑level English; Arabic and Portuguese are advantageous.
• Experience with LIMS and SAP; willing to be based in Jeddah or relocate.
