Navigation Engineer

About the role

Riyadh Air is seeking a Navigation Engineer to lead the design, validation and implementation of specialised navigation procedures across its global network. The role supports flight crews with expert guidance on performance‑based navigation, escape procedures and aerodrome suitability, while driving operational efficiency and fuel‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate and maintain specialised navigation procedures, including drift‑down and depressurisation profiles.
• Assess aerodrome suitability, route options and navigation constraints for network planning and safe operations.
• Analyse airspace changes, navigation procedures and operational constraints to identify safety, efficiency and cost improvement opportunities.
• Provide customised Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) charting solutions and ensure they are accurate, current and fully supported.
• Collaborate with Flight Operations, Safety, Engineering and external partners to coordinate navigation updates, approvals and implementation timelines.

Required profile

• Degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience in an airline flight‑operations environment.
• Aviation experience is mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of air‑navigation related regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Jeppesen charts.
• Experience using Aviator.
• Completion of LIDO training.
• Knowledge of performance‑based navigation (PBN) profiles.
• Familiarity with Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) charting solutions.
