Network Infrastructure Instructor

About the role

Uptime Institute, the global authority on digital infrastructure, is looking for a Network Infrastructure Instructor to deliver high‑quality training on network cabling and related technologies. The role will involve teaching professionals the design, installation, testing and certification of copper and fiber optic systems, as well as smart network solutions used in data centres and enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum covering network cabling architecture, copper and fiber termination, and smart network technologies.
• Conduct hands‑on training sessions on installation, testing, and certification of copper and fiber optic cable systems.
• Guide participants through industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Assess trainee performance and provide feedback to ensure competency.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of experience working with network cabling infrastructure.
• Ability to teach technical concepts to a diverse audience.

• Network cabling infrastructure architecture
• Installation and termination of copper cables (UTP, FTP)
• Smart network technologies including wireless systems
• Principles of data transmission over copper and fibre networks
• Testing and certification of copper and fibre optic cable systems
• Industry regulations, standards and best practices
• Design of network cable installations
• Project management of network cable installation
• Installation of network cabling in data centres
• Installation and termination of single‑mode and multi‑mode fibre optic cables
• Experience with smart network systems (CCTV, security, AV, Wi‑Fi)
• Installation of containment systems
• Inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) solutions
• Construction and installation of network equipment cabinets
