Network Security Engineer – Level 3

About the role

We are looking for a Level‑3 Network Security Engineer to join sirar by stc, a leading cybersecurity provider. The role involves acting as a subject‑matter expert for network security, delivering advanced support and advisory services to both front‑office and back‑office teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level‑3 support for IT network security, handling escalations and advising internal teams.
• Configure, administer and optimise firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs and other security appliances.
• Implement access control lists, security policies and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS).
• Set up logging and monitoring systems to track security events and incidents.
• Analyse malicious activity, perform risk assessments and conduct regular security reviews.
• Manage system updates, upgrades and change‑management processes.
• Respond to security incidents outside regular working hours and ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in network security with a focus on firewall and IDS/IPS technologies.
• Experience handling escalations from L1/L2 support and providing clear guidance.
• Ability to work on‑call and address incidents beyond standard hours.
• Proven track record in risk analysis, change management and system maintenance.
