Neurodiagnostics Technician

About the role

The Neurodiagnostics Technician supports neurologists by performing and assisting with a range of neurological diagnostic tests. This role combines technical expertise with compassionate patient interaction to ensure accurate results and a comfortable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic procedures such as EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and autonomic testing following established protocols.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and provide instructions to ensure cooperation and comfort.
• Assist neurologists during procedures, handling patient positioning, equipment setup, and troubleshooting.
• Educate patients and families about test purposes, results, and follow‑up care.
• Accurately record test results and patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Follow strict infection‑control and safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
• Stay current with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology through ongoing training.
