NICU Registered Nurse

About the role

The NICU Registered Nurse provides high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill newborns and supports their families. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, vital signs, and physical examinations of NICU patients.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor for side effects, and provide wound care.
• Assist physicians during procedures, educate families, and respond to medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records, adhere to infection‑control standards, and participate in safety and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience; candidates with less than one year will enter the RN residency program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid nursing license from the country of origin and registration with the regional health authority (e.g., SCFHS/DHA).
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and typing.
