NOC L1 Engineer – 24/7 Monitoring

About the role

We are seeking a NOC L1 Engineer to join our 24/7 Network Operations Center in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on monitoring IT infrastructure, networks, systems and applications, and providing first‑level troubleshooting and incident handling.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network devices, servers, applications and infrastructure using tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix or Nagios.
• Track WAN, LAN, VPN, internet connectivity, bandwidth, latency and availability.
• Respond to alerts, alarms and service disruptions, perform L1 troubleshooting of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching and VPN issues.
• Log, categorize, prioritize and track incidents through ITSM/ticketing platforms and ensure SLA compliance.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams following escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate incident records, shift handovers and operational reports while coordinating with technical teams, vendors and service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in NOC, network operations, IT support or service desk environments.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts in a 24/7 onsite environment.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation or equivalent.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP and VPN.
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, ManageEngine).
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira or Freshservice.
