OCI Engineer – Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an OCI Engineer to join our cloud platform team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on building, configuring and operating Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, applying automation and best‑practice patterns to deliver secure and cost‑effective services.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and configure OCI resources such as Compute, Block/Object/FSS Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, DBCS and ADB following approved landing‑zone designs.
• Set up networking components (VCN, subnets, route tables, security lists/NSGs, gateways, FastConnect, IPSec VPN, DNS) and enforce tagging and cost‑allocation standards.
• Support deployments across environments using CI/CD pipelines (OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code modules (Terraform / OCI Resource Manager) and automation scripts (Ansible, Bash, Python) for tasks like patching, certificate rotation and environment refresh.
• Monitor platform health, respond to alerts and incidents within SLAs using OCI Monitoring, Logging, APM and tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog or Dynatrace.
• Execute routine operations (patching, backups, capacity checks, certificate renewals) and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Apply security controls (IAM policies, MFA, OCI Vault/KMS, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vulnerability Scanning, Data Safe) and perform access‑management activities.
• Assist with workload migrations (lift‑and‑shift, re‑platform) to OCI and provide hyper‑care support for application teams.
• Drive cost‑optimization initiatives and maintain runbooks, configuration records and operational documentation.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in cloud platform engineering.
• Indian nationality currently residing and working in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of at least one secondary public cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Bash or Python.
