Oncology Nurse – Outpatient Treatment Area

About the role

The Oncology Treatment Area (OTA) is a 25‑bed outpatient unit delivering chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and supportive nursing care to paediatric and adult oncology, haematology, and bone‑marrow transplant patients. As an Oncology Nurse you will provide safe administration of short and long‑duration infusions, blood product transfusions, and pre‑/post‑BMT follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and IV infusions ranging from brief pushes to 9‑hour treatments.
• Perform blood and blood‑product transfusions according to protocol.
• Monitor patients during and after treatment, documenting vital signs and adverse reactions.
• Provide supportive nursing care, education, and symptom management for oncology and haematology patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science or a Registered Nurse with a current licence from the country of origin.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in oncology nursing (adult and/or paediatric).
