Operations Engineer - Facility Management (NEOM)

About the role

The Operations Engineer monitors and controls all facility systems and coordinates maintenance activities at the Primary Nursery Facility in NEOM. The role also oversees support services such as Janitorial, Horticulture, Pest Control, Waste Management and Office Services. It is an on-site position within the KST department.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operation of all MEP and electro-mechanical systems
• Monitor equipment including MCCs, pumps, VFDs, fans, instrumentation, emergency generators, AHUs and chillers
• Plan operations, set priorities and coordinate maintenance and project works
• Inspect systems regularly and analyse performance, alarms and set points, implementing corrective actions
• Respond to emergencies, major faults and equipment failures
• Support root cause analysis, incident investigations and commissioning
• Manage and monitor contractors and service providers, and resolve complaints and high-priority tickets

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience in Facility Management, Facility Operations or a similar role
• Proven experience operating and monitoring MEP and electro-mechanical systems
• Experience managing contractors, coordinating service providers and monitoring KPIs
• Good command of written and spoken English

Required skills

• Knowledge of facility systems such as MCCs, pumps, VFDs, generators, AHUs, chillers, fans and instrumentation
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand MEP commissioning procedures
• Troubleshooting, problem-solving, RCA and corrective action
• Communication, leadership, coordination, analytical and customer service skills
