Passenger Boarding Bridge Lead Officer

About the role

The Passenger Boarding Bridge Lead Officer is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of critical ground‑handling equipment at Saudi airports. This role ensures that boarding bridges, power units, climate control systems and docking guidance tools are ready for every flight, supporting the country’s Vision 2030 airport development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB) safely during aircraft arrivals and departures, performing daily inspections and reporting any defects.
• Manage Ground Power Units (GPU), conducting preventive and corrective maintenance to guarantee power availability for aircraft.
• Maintain Pre‑Conditioned Air (PCA) units, adjusting cooling or heating based on aircraft type and weather conditions.
• Operate and calibrate the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) for various aircraft models, testing and troubleshooting as needed.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment, keeping detailed logs and technical reports.
• Coordinate with the control tower, apron operations team, system engineers and service providers to resolve technical issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5‑6 years of relevant experience in airport ground equipment operation or maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures on the apron and ability to work closely with airport teams.
